I’m Karoline, a surface pattern designer and illustrator based in Hamburg and the creative head behind moDeern. I create all-over patterns, placement prints and illustrations for textile, kids and home brands, available for licensing or custom development.

About the name moDeern
moDeern combines modern with the North German word Deern, meaning woman or girl. The name reflects both my roots and my design approach — modern artwork with a touch of tradition, Scandinavian clarity and playful charm.
