#botanicalbeasties2025: Where Flora Meets Fauna

In September 2025, I took part in the art challenge #botanicalbeasties2025, which ran from September 1 to September 30, 2025. The theme was all about creative combinations of animals and plants.

Over the course of the challenge, I created four illustrations. These are the motifs I chose:

• Crows + Cherries

• Caterpillar + Nasturtiums

• Hummingbird + Hibiscus

• Frog + Foxglove

  
  

I especially love challenges like this because they provide an inspiring creative framework while still leaving plenty of room for personal interpretation. For me, #botanicalbeasties2025 became a small series where nature, fantasy, and illustration come together.
