🎄 My Experience with Jehane’s Twelve Days of Christmas 2025 🎄

In December 2025, I accomplished something I had been meaning to do for quite a while: I didn’t just start Jehane’s Twelve Days of Christmas challenge – I actually completed all 12 prompts.

That might not sound like a big deal, but to me, it really was.

I had known this creative challenge from previous years. I had even started it once or twice before, full of motivation and ideas. And yet, it always ended the same way: after a few days, life got busy, time became scarce – and at some point, I just stopped.

This year was different.

The challenge runs throughout December up until Christmas and consists of twelve creative prompts, released every two days . It’s not about perfection, but about staying creative, experimenting with ideas, and developing your own artistic style.

That’s exactly the mindset I brought into it this time.

I consciously let go of the pressure to create perfect illustrations. Instead, I focused on simply showing up. On days when I didn’t have much time, I took smaller steps – a quick sketch, a simple idea, anything that kept me in the process.

And that made all the difference.

The prompts were beautifully varied and often pushed me out of my comfort zone –from “Snow Queen” to “The Night Before Christmas” . Some ideas came easily, almost naturally. Others took more time and patience.

Looking back, those moments when I didn’t know how to start were actually the most valuable. Because creativity doesn’t always begin with a clear idea – it often emerges while you’re already in the process.

With each completed prompt, it became a little easier. I doubted less and simply created more. At some point, I realized: I’m actually going to finish this.

Another aspect I had underestimated was the sense of community. Artists from all over the world work on the same prompts, each interpreting them in completely unique ways.

Seeing that variety is incredibly inspiring and it makes you want to keep going.

Looking back, this December challenge was so much more than just a creative project.

It showed me that it’s not about doing everything perfectly, but about continuing anyway. That small steps matter. And that you’re capable of more than you think – if you simply don’t stop.

Even now, it still feels a little special to say:I completed all 12 prompts.

Not because every piece is perfect. But because this time, I didn’t give up.

And that’s exactly why I would join this creative challenge again anytime.

And of course, I couldn’t finish this post without sharing the final result.

Here are the 12 illustrations I created during Jehane’s Twelve Days of Christmas 2025:
